Amy Tilley joined the University of Houston Women's Basketball as chief of staff in April 2025. The 2025-24 season will be her first with Houston.
Tilley reunites with Head Coach Matthew Mitchell after spending 15 seasons at Kentucky in various roles, most recently as assistant athletic director and women's basketball director of operations from 2014 to 2024.
During her tenure, Kentucky Women's Basketball enjoyed one of the most successful stretches in program history, highlighted by an SEC regular season championship under Mitchell, multiple NCAA Tournament appearances and an SEC Tournament championship in 2022.
Tilley's responsibilities at Kentucky included overseeing team travel and scheduling, managing the program's budget, coordinating facility use, supervising all non-coaching staff and student-managers, directing the team's Nike account and leading special event operations. She played a critical role in the day-to-day operations and long-term planning for the program.
Before her promotion to assistant athletic director in May 2014, Tilley served as director of basketball relations and recruiting operations for three years.
Tilley served as an administrative assistant under Mitchell during the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons before leaving to become the head coach at Dunbar High School for the 2010-11 year.
She graduated from Kentucky in 2007 with a major in finance and a minor in economics and received a master's degree in secondary education from Eastern Kentucky in 2011. Tilley earned a master's degree in educational leadership in May 2014.
The Somerset, Ky., native is married to Adam Tilley, and they have two children: daughter Reagan and son Drew.
