Indoor: Won gold in the 200-meter dash at the Leonard Hilton Memorial with a time of 20.98 ... Won gold in the 200-meter dash at the Charlie Thomas Invitational with a time of 20.63 ... helped Houston post a world-leading time in the 4x400-meter relay at the Clemson Tiger Paw Invitational... Won gold in the 400-meter dash at the Houston Invitational with a time of 46.28 ... Took home the title in the 400-meter dash at The American Indoor Championships with a time of 45.04
Outdoor: Helped Houston win the 4x200-meter relay at the PVAMU Relays... won both the 200-meter and the 400-meter, as well as helped Houston take first in the 4x400-meter relay at the Houston Alumni Invitational... took home titles in the both the 200-meter and the 400-meter at The American Outdoor Championships... ran a collegiate best 20.35 in the 200-meter to finish fourth at the NCAA West Prelims and finished first in the region in the 400-meter dash... ran a lifetime best 44.23 and became the NCAA Champion in the 400-meter dash at the NCAA Championships... ran as a member of the third-place finished 4x400-meter relay.
Indoor: Was a member of each of the 4x400-meter relay squads that broke the school record in 2018, most recently at the Tyson Invitational and earlier in the season at the Corky Classic...Ran the second-fastest time in program history in the 400-meter dash at the Tyson Invitational in 46.00...Won the 400-meter dash at the Charlie Thomas Invitational in 46.83...Took gold at the Mark Colligan Memorial with a time of 46.83 in the 400.
Outdoor: Earned a pair of NCAA First Team All-America honors for his seventh-place finish in the 400-meter dash, as well as the team’s fifth-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay in Eugene, Ore…Won the United States Championship in the 400-meter dash after running a school-record 44.58…Won the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship in the 400-meter dash after running 45.93, while taking second in the 200-meter dash in a personal best 20.48…Earned First Team All-American Athletic Conference honors for the 400, while taking Second Team laurels for the 200-meter dash…Ran the anchor leg of Houston’s school-record setting 4x400-meter relay at the Penn Relays, where they Cougars ran 3:01.82 to claim the program’s first Penn Wheel in the event.

2016-17
Indoor Track -- Began his sophomore campaign by finishing seventh in the 60m dash and fourth in the 4x400m relay at the Border Battle (Jan. 7), crossing the finish line at 6.91 and 3:23.579, respectively ... Recorded a fifth place finish in the 200m dash at the Commodore Invitational (Jan. 14) with a tome of 21.52 ... Finished fifth in the 400m dash at the Razorback Invitational (Jan. 28), crossing the finish line at 46.57 ... Captured an event win at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge (Feb. 17), finishing first in the 60m dash with a personal record time of 6.85, a time which ranks ninth in program history ... Competed in the 200m dash, 400m dash and 4x400m relay at the SEC Indoor Championships (Feb. 24-25), finishing 13th, 14th and ninth, respectively.
Outdoor Track -- Opened the outdoor season by running in the 100m dash, 4x100m relay, 4x200m relay and 4x400m relay at the Texas Relays (March 31-April 1), posting his best finish as a member of the 4x200m relay team which finished 10th with a time of 1:26.79 ... Had a remarkable meet at the Tom Botts Invitational (April 15), finishing first in three events -- the 400m dash, 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay -- crossing the finish line at 46.86, 41.19 and 3:13.38, respectively ... Finished fifth in the 400m dash at the John McDonnell Invitational (April 22), crossing the finish line at 47.61 ... Ran in four relay races at the Drake Relays (April 28-29), including a third-place finish in the 4x200m relay that clocked a time of 1:26.62 ... Placed 17th in the 400m dash, 26th in the 200m dash and 11th in the 4x400m relay at the SEC Outdoor Championships (May 11-13).

Indoor Track - Kicked off his collegiate career with a highly impressive debut, capturing an SEC Title in the 400-meter dash at the SEC Championships with a school-record time of 45.78, which was a top-10 time in the world at the time of the race ... Placed seventh in the 60m dash at the Illinois-Iowa Border Battler, posting the tenth-fastest time in school history at 6.89 ... Earned two top-10 finishes at the Missouri Invitational, finishing first in the 200m with a time of 21.97 and sixth in the 60m, finishing at 6.97 ... Set the school record in the 400m at the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet, posting a time of 47.33 and finishing third ... Finished fourth in the 400m at the Husker Invitational, finishing at 47.71 ... Posted the then-second fastest time in school history in the 200m at the Tyson Invitational, running a 21.15 ... Posted the ninth-fastest time in school history at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge with a time of 6.86, finishing first ... Posted a school-record time of 21.03 in the 200m at the SEC Championships ... Competed in the 400m at the NCAA Indoor Championships, finishing 11th with a time of 46.78.
Outdoor Track - Opened the outdoor season with a first-place finish in the 200m and an eighth-place finish in the 100m, running the eighth-fastest time in program history in the 200m at 20.86 and the tenth-fastest time in program history in the 100m, finishing at 10.57 ... Finished seventh in the 200m at the Florida Relays, finishing at 20.80 ... Earned back-to-back first-place finishes in the 400m at the Tom Botts Invitational and the John McDonnell Invitational, running 46.47 and 46.00, respectively. Won his second conference title in the 400m, posting a school-record in the process at the SEC Championships, finishing at 45.13 ... Finished third at the NCAA West Preliminary Round in the 400m to earn a trip to the NCAA Championships, finishing at 45.95 ... Earned All-America honors at the NCAA Championships in the 400m, finishing ninth with a time of 45.81.
HIGH SCHOOL Kahmari competed for Plainfield Central HS...He held the fifth-fastest 400m dash in the U.S. for seniors in 2015...He was also No. 12 for the indoor 60m dash, No. 14 for the 100m dash, and No. 17 for the 200m dash...A five-time IHSA Champion, he won the 100m dash competition in 2015, the 200m dash in 2014-15, and the 400m dash in 2014-15.
