Michelle Malloy joined the University of Houston Department of Athletics in June 2014 as an assistant athletics trainer.
She has worked closely with Houston Men's and Women's Track and Field since joining the Cougars and also serves the Houston Football program. In that role, Malloy provides assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for athletics injuries throughout the year.
Prior to joining the full-time staff, Malloy spent two years as a graduate assistant athletics trainer for Men's and Women's Track and Field and Men's and Women's Cross Country and received her master's degree in sport and fitness administration in 2014.
Malloy, who is a native of New Egypt, N.J., received her bachelor's degree in athletics training with a minor in worksite health promotion from East Carolina in 2012 after recording nearly 2,000 clinical observation honors.
While with the Pirates, she worked with numerous sport programs, including Men's Basketball, Football, Softball, Track and Field and Cross Country programs.
She was named to the Dean's List at both UH and East Carolina and received academic scholarships from the ECU Department of Health Education and Promotion and Athletics Trainers' Association of Burlington County, N.J.
Malloy is a certified athletic trainer and also a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association. She also is a licensed athletic trainer in the state of Texas.
