Daniel Hixon joined the University of Houston Men’s Basketball program as associate director of operations in August 2021.
In that role, he assists Director of Operations & Basketball Strategy Bobby Champagne in team travel, facilitates various events for student-athlete recruits and their families and helps the coaching staff with day-to-day administrative duties.
Hixon has previous experience with the Cougars during his professional career. He served as an analystics consultant from 2018 to 2021, formulating reports and evaluating team performance through statistical data and analytics.
From 2016 to 2018, he worked as a student manager with the Cougars, working with coaches and student-athletes in a multitude of responsibilities.
After graduating from UH, Hixon served as a remote video consultant with the NBA’s Phoenix Suns for the 2019 NBA Draft. He also worked as a rotational analyst with Cheniere Energy, Inc., from 2019 to 2021.
Hixon earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in management information systems from the University of Houston in 2019. A member of the Bauer Business Honors Program and The Honors College, he finished his collegiate career with a 3.92 cumulative grade-point average.
He and is wife, Elaine, were married in July 2024.
