Played in 26 of Houston's 30 games...made 17 starts, including 13 after returning from a foot injury...scored a season-best four points against Southern Miss, Tulane, Southeastern Louisiana and Sam Houston State...registered season-highs of eight rebounds and five blocked shots against TCU...pulled down six rebounds against Grambling State...grabbed four rebounds against Saint Louis, USF and Rice...also blocked three shots against New Orleans.
Junior College
Came to Houston after playing at Midland College for two seasons...averaged 3.5 points and 6.1 rebounds per game as a starting center during his sophomore season...started 36 of Midland's 37 games in which he helped the Chaparrals finish the season with a 30-7 overall record...Midland also finished in a third-place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament after winning the Western Junior College Athletic Conference and NJCAA Region V championships...was an Honorable-Mention All-WJCAC selection after averaging 6.9 points and 6.2 rebounds in 26 games as a freshman...named Midland's "Most Improved Player" as a freshman.
