Kenny Osuwah joined the Houston Equipment Services staff as Director of Equipment Operations for Football in July 2023.
As the Director of Equipment Operations for Football, Osuwah collaborates with the Assistant Athletic Director of Equipment on all aspects of the football program's equipment needs including but not limited to handling the equipment budget, managing inventory, forecasting orders for future student-athletes and staff, preparing for all recruiting events, fitting protective equipment and ensuring all apparel items are sanitized, sorted and distributed to assigned personnel.
Osuwah manages all embellishment of apparel for football student-athletes and staff and is in charge of the day-to-day upkeep, inventory and reconditioning of all helmets and shoulder pads.
Prior to joining Houston, Osuwah spent the last 15 years as the Assistant Equipment Manager for the Atlanta Falcons developing, planning and organizing programs for purchasing and maintaining athletic equipment and apparel. He was responsible for ordering all team-associated gear while ensuring league and team compliance standards within the team budget.
Before his 15 full-time seasons in the NFL, Osuwah helped the Indianapolis Colts as an equipment intern on their 2006 Super Bowl Championship run.
Osuwah holds five college degrees including a Masters in International Business from Liberty in 2012. A 2005 and 2006 double-major from Fort Hays State, Oswuah holds Bachelor degrees in Information Systems (2005), Accounting (2005), Finance (2006) and Economics (2006) – earning Summa Cum Laude in each degree.
Born in Paris, France, Osuwah was raised in Lagos, Nigeria before organizing and mentoring the Ball Boy Atlanta Falcons program with the Boys and Girls Club in Gainesville, Ga., graduating notables and eventual NFL stars Deshaun Watson, A.J. Johnson and Ju'Wuan James.
