• Henry Stone joined University of Houston Football in January 2024 as its Offensive Analyst. The 2025 season will be his second with the Cougars after spending the 2023 season as Offensive Quality Control at Mississippi State.
• During 2024, Stone supported a new-look tight ends room which played a key role in both the pass and run game. Senior Maliq Carr finished second on the team with 13 first-down receptions and ranked third among Big 12 tight ends in PFF run-block grade (74.1). True freshman Traville Frederick picked up a pair of catches and was a mainstay on special teams while junior Jayden York made 11 starts and catch five passes in four different games.
• At Mississippi State, Stone worked primarily with quarterbacks including SEC All-Freshman Quarterback Chris Parson who appeared in a pair of games for the Bulldogs. Stone was responsible for overseeing scout team, film breakdowns, scouting reports, weekly cutups, pass game drawings, self-scout and assisting the Quarterbacks Coach with individual drills.
• Prior to Mississippi State, Stone spent six seasons with Appalachian State Football, first as an Offensive Student Assistant (2017-2020) before being elevated to Graduate Assistant/Quality Control (2021-22) where he focused on quarterbacks and the offense.
• During his six seasons, App State reached five bowl games including winning four consecutive from 2017-20. Stone was part of five 9+ win seasons including three double-digit win campaigns. During the stretch, the Mountaineers went a combined 37-11 in league play including four seasons posting a 7-1 conference mark. In 2019, App State went 13-1, becoming the first Sun Belt team and first FBS team from the state of North Carolina to win 13 games.
• From 2021-22, Stone was responsible for running scout team, film breakdowns, scouting reports, weekly cutups, pass game drawings, self-scout and assisted the Quarterbacks Coach with individual drills. He also assisted the Offensive staff with recruiting film evaluation and communication with offensive recruits.
• In 2022, Appalachian State recorded four games with 500+ yards (19th nationally) while the Mountaineers ranked inside the top 25 nationally in scoring offense (No. 23 – 34.9), passer rating (No. 19 – 155.80), yards per pass attempt (No. 18 – 8.4) and yards per play (No. 22 – 6.56).
• In 2021, quarterback Chase Brice was named Sun Belt Conference Newcomer of the Year after setting App State’s single-season school record for passing yards with a league-leading 3,337. One season later, in 2022, Brice was recognized as PFF All-Sun Belt Third Team after leading the Sun Belt during the regular season with 27 touchdown passes – a mark which ranked 13th nationally.
• From 2017-20, Stone worked primarily with the Tight Ends as well as assisted with other positions. He was responsible for running scout team, film breakdowns, scouting reports, weekly cutups, run game drawings and self-scout while also assisting the Tight Ends coach with individual drills. Stone was also involved in recruiting on the offensive side of the ball.
• Stone received his Bachelor of Science in Health & Physical Education from Appalachian State in 2020. He is NCAA Recruiting Certified, CPR Certified and an AFCA member.
