Connor Galloway joined the University of Houston in 2021 as a Division I Physical Therapy Fellow in partnership with Memorial Hermann RSMI before moving into his current position of Associate Director of Sports Medicine and Lead Physical Therapist.
Currently, Galloway coordinates all post-operative care across all intercollegiate sports and serves as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for Houston Football. In his capacity, he creates and implements department wide injury statistics database to track injuries in addition to operating databases for player profiles for injury comparison statistics to assist in creation of prevention programs.
As part of his previous role as Division I Physical Therapy Fellow and Staff Physical Therapist (2021-22), Galloway worked alongside staff athletic trainers to guide the care of 20+ post-operative cases while providing Division I athletic training room & venue coverage for Houston Football, Basketball, Track and Field and Baseball during his 12-month fellowship program.
Galloway joined the University of Houston following two years as Memorial Hermann RSMI's Sports Physical Therapy Resident and Staff Physical Therapist for Houston Christian University and George Ranch High School. There, he provided part-time Division I athletic training room & venue coverage for HCU Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer and Track and Field as well as part-time 6A high school athletic training room & venue coverage for Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer and Wrestling at George Ranch.
He previously spent time in Hattiesburg, Miss., at PT Solutions and Southern Bone & Joint as a Staff Physical Therapist where he evaluated and treated outpatient and orthopedic patients as well as provided sports venue coverage with Presbyterian Christian School.
Galloway is board certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners, Texas Department of Licensure and Regulation and Mississippi Board of Physical Therapy. He is CPR/First Aid/AED certified and has received his certification in EMR for Management of Acute Injury and Illness. He is also an active member of the Texas Physical Therapy Association (TPTA), American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy (AASPT) and American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Galloway received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Mississippi in May 2013 and earned his Master of Science in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Mississippi College in December 2015. He resides in Houston with his wife, Ashley, and two daughters, Emory Ann and Lilah Kate.
