Former University of Houston standout Tyler Bielamowicz joined the Cougar Baseball program as volunteer assistant coach in Aug. 2021. The 2024 season will be his third as a coach.
In 2021, Bielamowicz paced Houston in average (.301), on-base percentage (.395) and OPS (.853). His 15-game on-base streak was the longest for any Cougar on the season. He finished second on the club in runs (27) and third in RBIs (24).
The former Cy-Ranch standout made an immediate impact as a freshman in 2017, appearing in 34 games including 23 starts. A season later, Bielamowicz was named to the AAC Championship All-Tournament Team thanks to three home runs and seven RBIs.
As a junior in 2019, he appeared in 48 games including 42 starts. The starts came at five different positions including three starts on the mound. During the shortened 2020 season, Bielamowicz started all 15 games, registering eight stolen bases while hitting .274.

His current duties include assisting with the hitters and outfielders while serving as the first base coach.
During the 2023 season, Bielamowicz helped the base runners exceed 100+ stolen bases in one year while tutoring the Houston hitters to constitantly improve in runs, hits, home runs and RBI in back-to-back years
Bielamowicz, a five-year letterwinner at Houston, helped the Cougars to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (2017-18).
