Indoor: Won gold in shot put at the Reveille Invitational with a distance of 60-4 (18.39) ... Took silver in shot put at the Red Raider Invitational with a throw of 59-2.25 (18.04m) ... Won gold in shot put at the Leonard Hilton Memorial with a throw of 60.25 (18.29m) ... Took silver in shot put at the Charlie Thomas Invitational with a throw of 60-3.75 (18.38m) ... Won gold in shot put at The American Indoor Championship with a mark of 60-4 (18.39m) ... won the shot put at the Texas A&M Aggie Twilight with a throw of 60-8.5 (18.10m)... won the shot put title at The American Indoor Championships with a throw of 60-4 (18.39m).
Outdoor: Posted a pair of top-five finished at the Houston Spring Break Invitational with a first-place finish in the shot put and fifth-place finish in the hammer throw... finished second in the shot put at the Texas A&M Invitational... finished second at the Mt. Sac Relays in the shot put and 13th in the hammer throw... won the shot out title at The American Outdoor Championships with a throw of 59-10.25 (18.24)... advanced to the NCAA West Region Prelims... finished second at the Mexican National Championships in the shot put.
2017-18 (RS Junior)
Indoor: Threw the shot in four meets during the regular season...Won all four shot put competitions he entered, including at the Mark Colligan Memorial, where he set his season best at 18.49m (60-8.0).
Outdoor: Qualified for the NCAA West Regional, where he finished 16th with a mark of 60-0.5 (18.30m)…Took the silver medal in the shot put at The American Outdoor Championships after tallying a personal-best of 61-4.25 (18.70m) to earn Second Team All-Conference honors in the shot put…Finished the season with seven top-5 finishes, including a win in the shot put at the Victor Lopez Classic with a mark of 58-11.25 (17.96m)…Opened the season with a personal-best of 180-2 (54.91m) in the hammer throw to finish fourth at the Cougar Spring Break Invitational.
2016-17 (Junior)
Did not compete for the Cougars during the 2016-17 season due to redshirt.
2015-16 (Sophomore)
Indoor: Won the 2016 American Athletic Conference Championship in the shot put with a personal best mark of 18.58m (60'11.5")...Won the shot put at the Charlie Thomas Invitational when he threw 17.69m (58'0.5")...Finished fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 15.41m (50'6.75") at the Leonard Hilton Memorial Invitational.
Outdoor: Set a new outdoor best in the shot put with a mark of 18.09m at the Mt. SAC Relays where he finished third among collegiates and earn American Conference Field Athlete of the Week Honors...Opened the outdoor season with a trio of events at the UTSA Invitational, winning the shot put at 17.83m (58'6"), while taking ninth in the hammer throw (165'10") and 15th in the discus (43.57m).
2014-15 (Freshman)
Indoor: Made his collegiate debut at the Leonard Hilton Memorial Invitational and made an immediate impact with a second place 18.05m throw in the shot put.
Outdoor: Competed in the throws for Houston in five meets during the outdoor season...Scored points for the Cougars at The American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships with his sixth place finish in the shot put and a mark of 16.57m (54'-4.5")...Set an outdoor personal record in the shot put at the Texas Relays where he finished fourth with a mark of 17.01m (55'-9.75")...Opened the season with a fourth place finish in the discus at 37.60m (123'-4") at the TSU Relays.
