Opened the season with a second-place finish in the 60mh... helped the Cougars to a first-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay at the Red Raider Invitational... finished fifth in the 60mh at the Houston G5 & Super 22 Invitational with a lifetime best... finished fifth in the 60mh at The American Championships, helping the Cougars to a first-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay.
SOPHOMORE (2018-19)
INDOOR
Took bronze in the 60-meter hurdles at the Reveille Invitational with a time of 8.16 ... Took third in the 60-meter hurdles at the Texas Tech Corky Classic with a time of 8.01 ... Finished ninth in the early qualifying 60-meter hurdles at the Red Raider Invitational with a time of 8.20 ... Finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles at the Charlie Thomas Invitational with a time of 8.05 ... Finished fifth in the 400-meter dash at the Houston Invitational with a time of 48.59 ... Finished fifth in the early qualifying 60-meter hurdles at the Houston Invitational with a time of 8.04 ... OUTDOOR
Opened the season with a second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles at the Houston Spring Break Invitational with a time of 50.87... took first-place in both the 110 and 400-hurdles at the Victor Lopez Classic... turned in a second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles at the Texas Relays... posted a collegiate best time of 14.12 in the 110-meter hurdles at The American Championships for a third-place finish... finished eighth in the 400-meter hurdles at the conference championships...posted a lifetime best 50.11 in the 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA West Prelims to advance to the NCAA Championships.
FRESHMAN (2017-18)
INDOOR
Competed in six regular season events during his freshman indoor campaign...Was a member of the 4x400-meter relay squad the broke the school record at the Corky Classic with a time of 3:07.01...Had a career day individually with personal bests in both the 60-meter hurdles (8.03; 4th) and 400-meter dash (48.13; 3rd) at the Mark Colligan Memorial on Jan. 20...Opened his career with a third place finish in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.23 at the Reveille Invitational.
OUTDOOR
Capped his season as the runner up in 400-meter hurdles at the USATF Junior Championships in the 400-meter hurdles, where he qualified for the IAAF World U20 Championships in the event…Finished his freshman collegiate season at the NCAA West Regional, where he posted a personal-best 50.44 in the 400 hurdles…Claimed bronze in the 400-meter hurdles at The American Outdoor Championships after crossing the line in 51.11 to earn Third Team All-American Athletic Conference honors…Was a member of Houston’s American Champion 4x400-meter relay team after helping the Cougars run 3:10.17 in Cincinnati…Ran a personal-best in the 110-meter hurdles at the Victor Lopez Classic, running 14.58 to finish third.
HIGH SCHOOL
Won the state championship in the hurdles while competing for DeSoto HIgh School.
PERSONAL
Son of Charmaine and Cornelius Bacot...Has two siblings, Christina and Anika...Volunteers at his church and with neighborhood care packages...enjoys playing video games in his free time.
