Jayk Altic, Sebastian Gamboa, Enrique Karg & Dominic Green make season debuts on Monday
HOUSTON – Four University of Houston Men's Golfers will make their season debuts as individuals during the Bayou City Collegiate Classic at Westwood Golf Club on Monday.
Sophomores Jayk Altic and Dominic Green and seniors Sebastian Gamboa and Enrique Karg will play 54 holes over two days on the 7,184-yard, opar-72 course.
The Final Round tees off Tuesday morning.

ABOUT the COUGARS
Under Mike Booker Head Coach Andrew Danna's leadership, Houston will be represented by junior sophomore Jayk Altic, senior Sebastian Gamboa, senior Enrique Karg and sophomore Dominic Green.
Altic competed in eight tournaments as a true freshman in 2025-26 and finished third with a score of 7-under 209 at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic a year ago. The Houston native also earned a place on the Academic All-Big 12 Conference Rookie Team.
Gamboa joined the Cougars this summer after transferring from Florida Gulf Coast. During his first three collegiate years at FGCU, the Merida Mexico, native posted 14 Top-20 finishes and claimed individual championships at the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships and the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational during the 2025-26 season.
Karg competed in five tournaments in his first season at Houston in 2025-26 and finished fifth at the Colin Montgomerie Invitational with a score of 4-under 209.
Green made his collegiate debut as an individual at the All-American Intercollegiate Individual last season.
TEAM FIELD
Houston will compete in a field against host Rice, Abilene Christian, HCU, UIW, Lamar, Middle Tennessee, Prairie View A&M, Sam Houston, Samford, UT Arlington, UT Rio Grande Valley, Texas Southern and Valparaiso with individuals from Texas and Texas A&M.
TEE TIMES
Monday's play begins with an 8:30 a.m., shotgun start.
Altic starts off No. 10 with Karg (first group off No. 14), Gamboa (second group off No. 14) and Green (No. 15) following.

UP NEXT
Following the Bayou City Collegiate Classic, the Cougars return to action when they compete at the NB3 Matchplay hosted by the Notah Begay III Foundation at Twin Warriors Golf Club in Pueblo, N.M., on Sept. 29-30.
Houston then tees off at the Big 12 Matchplay at Salt Lake Country Club in Salt Lake on Oct. 12-14 before playing in the Abilene Christian Intercollegiate at Halbert National in Granbury, Texas, on Oct. 19-21.
The Cougars close their fall campaign at the Ka'anapali Classic at Ka'anapali Golf Resort in Lahaina, Hawai'i, on Oct. 26-28.
