Three Cougars produce multi-hit outings; Cardinals rally on eight-run first to win via run-rule walk off
Â
The Cougars (17-18, 1-8 Big 12) fell behind early following an eight-run first inning from the Cardinals (17-15, 5-4 Southland). Despite a four-run fourth inning to cut the deficit to 9-4, Lamar fended off Houston's late comeback effort, supplying four runs in the fifth and sixth frames to win via run rule and level the season series at one game apiece.
