HOUSTON – Houston Baseball caps a nine-game homestand as it hosts #25 Louisiana for a midweek tilt on Wednesday at Don Sanders Field at Darryl and Lori Schroeder Park. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m.

Items such as backpacks, purses and diaper bags are not permitted, and fans are strongly encouraged to not bring any bags to Houston Athletics facilities.

- Houston wrapped up its series against Kansas State with a 16-6, run-rule victory in eight innings. It's the Cougars third run-rule win in its last five games.
- Wednesday marks Houston's third game against a ranked opponent this season. The Cougars opened the season with an 8-2 win over #21 Wake Forest but fell to #19 Oregon State, 2-1, at the Frisco Classic.Â

- The Cougars face a loaded schedule in 2026, battling five teams that finished 2025 in the Top 25 of RPI. The team will play 29 of its 55 games against teams that finished in the Top 50 of the NCAA's RPI and 25 games against teams that made the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

- 1-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc or similar)
- A small clutch purse no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches, with or without a handle or strap (These small clutches remain subject to search)
