Cougars face Bearcats for Blackout game at 2 p.m. inside Fertitta Center

HOUSTON – The University of Houston Women's Basketball returns to the Fertitta Center to host Cincinnati at 2 p.m., Sunday, for its Black History Month Celebration/WBB Alumni Day game.

Fans are encouraged to wear BLACK and stay for postgame autographs with graduate guard Briana Peguero. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Houston Women's Basketball 50-year rally towel courtesy of Group 1 Automotive.

Sunday marks the 35th matchup and lone regular-season meeting between Houston and Cincinnati.
The Cougars welcome back alumni from the past 50 years.
Houston looks to snap its nine-game losing streak and pick up its first Big 12 Conference win of the season.
Cincinnati leads the all-time series, 24-10.
Houston's last victory against Cincinnati took place on Jan. 30, 2024, inside Fertitta Center.
This marks the first meeting between Head Coaches Matthew Mitchell and Katrina Merriweather.
Mitchell is 2-0 against Cincinnati, defeating the Bearcats while coaching at Kentucky.

LAST TIME OUT

A fourth-quarter comeback bid by Houston fell short as the Cougars dropped an 82-66 loss to #14 Baylor on Tuesday night inside Foster Pavilion.
Amirah Abdur-Rahim and Kyndall Hunter scored 17 points apiece while Briana Peguero added 14 points.
The Cougars had trailed by double digits since midway through the second quarter, but a 14-6 run cut the deficit to 71-64 with 5:17 remaining in the fourth. Baylor used an 11-0 run in the final minutes to seal the victory.
