
PREVIEW: Cross Country Gears Up for Texas A&M Invitational

Men set to start at 8 a.m., women at 8:35 a.m. in College Station
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The University of Houston Cross Country squads will travel to College Station for its second meet of the season on Saturday at the Watts Cross Country Course.
The men will open the meet with the 8k at 8 a.m., and the women will follow with the 5k at 8:35 a.m. Live results can be found here.
The Cougars will compete against Texas A&M (host), as well as other competitors such as Blinn College, Dallas Baptist, Nelson University, North Texas, Ouachita Baptist, Our Lady of the Lake, Prairie View, Sam Houston, San Diego State (women only), SMU (women only), St. Edward's, TCU, UC San Diego, UT Arlington and UT Tyler.

LAST TIME OUT
After opening the season on UIW Twilight on Aug. 29, the Houston women claimed the 4k team victory while freshman Zac Miller captured the 6k individual title on the men's side.
The women put on a strong collective effort as redshirt freshman Addison Hite, sophomore Cadence Patterson, sophomore Lily Campos, freshman Olivia Brillhart and sophomore Daniela Mendez led the squad to its first overall team victory since the 2021 season.
On the men's side, Miller went on to win the individual title with junior Patrick Flowers following in close behind as the second Cougar to finish the race.
