Taber joins Houston after two seasons at Cincinnati
HOUSTON – Former Big 12 Conference rival, Sabrina Taber, joins the University of Houston Soccer team, Head Coach Ben Williams announced Friday.
"Bringing Sabrina back to Texas is fantastic," Williams said. "She's an exciting young talent with tremendous upside. Her pace, creativity on the ball, and ability to take on defenders give her the tools to be a real difference-maker out wide.
She's faced some setbacks, but we've seen flashes of brilliance in her game going back to her club soccer days. Sabrina's work ethic and hunger to grow make her a great fit for our program. We're thrilled to welcome her back to her home state and can't wait to see her development and the impact she'll have on Cougar Soccer."

Taber comes to Houston after two years at Big 12 rival Cincinnati where she saw limited action due to injuries.
As a freshman in 2023, Taber played in two matches for the Bearcats while making her collegiate debut against Dayton where she played a career-high 23 minutes. Taber was sidelined for the remainder of the season as well as the 2024 campaign with an injury.
The San Antonio, Texas, native played for Smithson Valley High School and SA United. Taber led Smithson Valley to its first-ever state tournament, a Class 5A Region IV title and 27-0-1 record.
Taber claimed three-straight district championships and earned First Team All-District selections three times in her career. She also won the district's Forward of the Year.
Taber is the daughter of Joe and Priscilla Taber and has two brothers and one sister. She is pursuing a degree on the pre-athletic training path.
