All-Big 12 Conference star to withdraw from 2025 NBA Draft and use final season of eligibility with Cougars

Uzan will compete as a senior with one final season of eligibility remaining.
This past season, Uzan led the Cougars to one of the greatest seasons in school history. Starting all 40 games to set a school single-season record, Uzan helped guide Houston to the NCAA Tournament National Championship Game, the program's seventh NCAA Final Four appearance and second under Head Coach Kelvin Sampson, and a sweep of the Big 12 Conference regular-season and tournament championships.
With a league-best 19-1 mark in conference games, Houston became the first school to join a major conference and win the regular-season title in each of its first two years in the league in more than 100 years.
The Cougars finished #2 in both national polls and set a school single-season record with 35 wins.

ABOUT MILOS UZAN
Competing in his first season at Houston after transferring from Oklahoma, Uzan emerged as a leader for the Cougars, earning All-Big 12 Conference Second Team and NABC All-Gulf District Second-Team honors.
He finished third on the team with 11.4 points per game and led the Cougars and ranked eighth in the Big 12 with 4.4 assists per game.
With a 2.98 assist-turnover ratio, the Las Vegas native led Houston and stood third in the league while ranking 11th nationally with that total.
Uzan scored eight points and dished out a season-high 10 assists in his Houston debut during the season opener against Jackson State on Nov. 4, 2024, and posted 24 games with one or fewer turnovers in 2024-25.
He flirted with a triple-double with 17 points, nine rebounds and nine assists in Houston's thrilling come-from-behind win in double overtime at Kansas on Jan. 25. Uzan tipped a KU inbounds pass into the hands of graduate guard Mylik Wilson, who drained the game-tying 3-pointer to force the second extra period.
For that performance, Uzan was named the Big 12's Player of the Week and was recognized as a USBWA Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week.
He scored double-digit points in 25 games with a career-high 25 points against rv/#24 Arizona to lead the Cougars to the Phillips Big 12 Conference Championship title in Kansas City, Mo., on March 15. Uzan earned a place on the league's All-Tournament Team.
Uzan's stellar play continued in the NCAA Tournament. In the Cougars' 62-60 win over #22/22 (4) Purdue in the NCAA Elite Eight, he scored 22 points with a career-high six 3-pointer and scored the game-winning basket on an assist from forward Joseph Tugler with less than a second remanining.
