Cougars to compete in 30 events over three-day Championship meet beginning Thursday
LAWRENCE, Kan. – The University of Houston Track & Field program begins postseason action with the Big 12 Outdoor Track & Field Championship at Rock Chalk Park hosted by Kansas from Thursday to Saturday.

Competing at its second Big 12 Outdoor Championship, Houston will be represented by 52 student-athletes and will compete in a total of 30 events.

2025 Outdoor Recap
Houston saw 46 first-place finishes, two school records and 124 personal bests during the outdoor season. The men were also nationally ranked in the Top 25 for three consecutive weeks.

The Cougars earned 29 Top-10 performances in school history. Houston has 26 Top-10 marks in the league across men's and women's track and field.

In the USFTCCA event squad men's rankings, the 110-meter hurdles team ranks second and the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles squads are seventh.

Big 12 Indoor Champion KeAyla Dove leads the conference with her school record mark of 18.10m in the women's shot put. Freshman Evina Panagiotou's mark of 4.26m moved her to the top of the record books in the women's pole vault after she surpassed Karley King's 11-year-old school record mark of 4.21m.

Big 12 Indoor Champion Antrea Mita leads the conference in the men's high jump after posting a mark of 2.21m at Texas Relays.
