Bishop hits first-career homer in ninth inning
MANHATTAN, Kan. – Brandon Bishop hit his first Division I home run in a ninth-inning, pinch hit plate appearance in Houston Baseball's 14-5 loss to Kansas State on Saturday afternoon.
Bishop was one of two Cougars (22-20, 6-13 Big 12) to hit home runs in Saturday's game with catcher Riley Jackson hitting a two-run homer in the seventh inning. Both home runs traveled 400+ feet with 100 mph exit velocities.
Kansas State (26-17, 12-8 Big 12) scored five runs in two different innings and capitalized on four Houston errors to push 14 runs across the plate.
