
Fangli Earns Second Qualification for World Aquatic Championships

Fangli breaks Hungarian record and qualifies for world championships in 50-meter breaststroke
KAPOSVAR, Hungary – University of Houston senior Henrietta Fangli continued her success at the Hungarian National Championships, earning a World Aquatic Championships A-Standard and breaking the Hungarian Record on Saturday at Csik Ferenc Swimming Pool in Kaposvar, Hungary.
Fangli swam a 30.61, the fifth fastest time recognized by World Aquatics this year, to win the event and surpass the previous Hungarian record of 31.04. The time is an A-Standard for the 2025 World Aquatic Championships, which will be held in Singapore from July 11th through August 3rd.
She has now qualified for the World Aquatic Championships in both the 50- and 100-meter breaststrokes after clinching a A-Standard in the 100 breaststroke on Wednesday.
