#3/3 Men's Basketball Makes Big 12 History at Baylor
3/8/2025 11:15:00 PM | Men's Basketball
Cryer's six 3-pointers, Roberts' double-double power Cougars on way to perfect 10-0 Big 12 road record

Cryer drained each of his first five tries from the beyond the arc as four Cougars (26-4, 19-1 Big 12) tallied double-figure points.
Junior point guard Milos Uzan had 12 points while graduate forward J'Wan Roberts and junior guard Emanuel Sharp added 11 points each.
With the win, the Cougars finished the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record in Big 12 road games. It was the first time any Big 12 school accomplished that feat during a 20-game league schedule.
Houston also extended its road winning streak to 14 consecutive games, the nation's longest active streak and a Big 12 record. The Cougars have not lost a road game since a 78-65 setback at Kansas on Feb. 3, 2024.
The Cougars also won their 10th consecutive game overall and for the 23rd time in their last 24 games. Only an 82-81 loss to Texas Tech inside Fertitta Center in Houston on Feb. 1 prevents a longer streak.
To go along with his 11 points, Roberts grabbed 10 boards for his third double-double of the season. The U.S. Virgin Islands, native reached 1,000 career rebounds and became just the fourth Cougar in program history to tally 1,000 points AND 1,000 rebounds in his career, joining legendary centers Elvin Hayes, Hakeem Olajuwon and Greg Anderson.
Trailing by three at halftime, Houston outscored Baylor 39-32 and limited the Bears to only 30.3 percent (10-of-33) shooting while connecting on 57.1 percent (12-of-21) of its own shots during the final 20 minutes.
Baylor narrowed the gap to 63-61 when VJ Edgecombe sank a pair of free throws with 13 seconds left and was forced to foul on the inbounds pass.
However, Roberts calmly buried his two free throw tries to push the Cougar lead back to four points.
Edgecombe led the Bears (18-13, 10-10 Big 12) with 23 points including going 9 of 10 from the charity stripe. Norchad Omier scored 13 points and tallied 16 rebounds while Langston Love scored 10 points, knocking down three triples.
