Houston Falls to #11/14 Texas Tech in TDECU Stadium

After holding Texas Tech to field goals on each of its first three possessions, Houston put its first mark on the scoreboard when senior kicker Ethan Sanchez booted a 24-yard field goal for a 9-3 Red Raider lead late in the first quarter.
Texas Tech pushed its lead to 24-3 following a 69-yard touchdown pass to receiver Cameron Dickey from quarterback Behren Morton late in the first quarter, a five-yard touchdown run by J'Koby Williams early in the second quarter and a 26-yard field goal from Stone Harrington late in the first half.
Following an injury to senior quarterback Conner Weigman, quarterback Zeon Chriss-Gremillion hit junior receiver Amare Thomas on a 64-yard touchdown pass to pull the Cougars to within 25-11 with 87 seconds remaining in the first half.
Texas Tech added 10 points in the second half on Upton Bellenfant's field goal and Williams' second touchdown run of the game early in the final period.
UP NEXT
Houston continues its Big 12 schedule when it travels to take on Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Okla., on Oct. 11. The game will kick off at 11 a.m., and air on TNT.
Houston returns to TDECU Stadium when it meets Arizona in its annual Homecoming game on Oct. 18. Kickoff time and broadcasting network for that game will be announced soon.
