Sophomore Valeriia Krokhotina wins her opening singles round
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The University of Houston Tennis team opened day one of the Milwaukee Classic as sophomore Valeriia Krokhotina defeated Lucie Petruzelova (Ole Miss) on Friday at the Nicolet Tennis Center.
After what was a nail-biting first two sets, Krokhotina took control of the third set and defeated Petruzelova, 6(7)-7, 7-6(8), 6-2.
