PREVIEW: Volleyball Continues Road Swing at SMU Doubletree Invitational

DALLAS – The University of Houston Volleyball team continues a three-match road swing with a trip to Dallas for the SMU Doubletree Invitational this weekend. The Cougars play #7 Purdue at 4 p.m., Friday, before a meeting with either #10 Kentucky (2 p.m.) or rv SMU (4 p.m.) on Saturday.

The SMU Doubletree Invitational is set up as a true bracket tournament, with the winners and losers of Friday's matches playing each other on Saturday.

Houston renews a rivalry against Purdue for the first time since 1996 while having played SMU and Kentucky last season.
Rehr is nearing 650 career victories, sitting at 647 in his 25-year career which includes 106 with the Cougars, the third-most in program history.
This is the second consecutive year the Cougars play in a tournament with SMU, Purdue and Kentucky. Last season, the team finished 1-1 in the tourney hosted by Purdue. Houston hit .260 while out-blocking the Wildcats, 9-6, in a four-set loss before posting a four-set record 98 digs in a four-set win against SMU.
