Houston set to compete against 16 schools in College Station
COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The University of Houston Cross Country team heads to its second road meet of the season at the Texas A&M Invitational from the Watts Cross Country Course on Friday. The men's 8k race starts at 8 a.m., and the women's 5k race will follow at 8:45 a.m.
Houston will compete against Baylor, Blinn, Louisiana, North Texas, Oklahoma (women), Sam Houston, SMU (women), St. Edwards, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M, Texas A&M- Commerce, Tarleton State, TCU, Tulane, UT-Arlington and UT-Tyler.

LAST TIME OUT
At the UIW Twilight on Aug. 30, the men's team opened the season with a second-place finish in the 6k run, scoring 39 points with a top-five average time of 18:22.
Senior Branch Cox won his first career meet with a time of 18:06.9 and junior Miles Cox at 18:13.8 for third.
On the women's side, Houston placed third overall in the 4k race, averaging 14:31 and 76 points.
Freshman Cadence Patterson crossed the finish line second with a total time of 13:53.9. Freshman Lily Campos joined Patterson in the top five at 14:19.6.
