Maswanganyi Finishes 11th in 200-meter at 2024 Paris Olympics

Shaun Maswanganyi concludes individual action at Olympic Games, set to run 4x100-meter relay
PARIS – University of Houston sprinter Shaun Maswanganyi concluded action in the 200-meter semifinal for South Africa, finishing 11th place overall at the 2024 Paris Olympics inside Stade de France on Wednesday.

After earning an automatic qualification to the semifinal, Maswanganyi finished fourth in his heat at 20.42 for 11th place. Â
Â
This marks Maswanganyi's second career appearance in the 200m Olympic semifinal. At the Tokyo Olympic Games, Maswanganyi posted a 10th-place finish, just 0.05 seconds outside of advancing to the final.

Maswanganyi will continue action at Stade de France as he will run in the 4x100-meter relay Round 1 for South Africa. Louie Hinchliffe will also return to action for Great Britain in the 4x100-meter relay.
