Mita, Mouton Advance to Finals at World Athletics U-20 Championships

Michaela Mouton qualifies for Thursday’s 400-meter final, Antrea Mita heads to Friday's final in the high jump
LIMA, Peru – University of Houston Track & Field sophomores Antrea Mita and Michaela Mouton qualified for the finals of their respective events at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima, Peru, on Wednesday.

Mita opened Wednesday action for the Cougars at the U20 Championships representing Greece. Mita earned his spot in Friday's 4:58 p.m., CT men's high jump final as he cleared 2.12m (6' 11.5").

Representing Team USA, Mouton qualified for the 400-meter final, finishing third in her semifinal heat, but seventh overall to earn the qualification with a time of 52.72. The 400-meter final is set for 6:45 p.m., Thursday.
