Ten Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

Three Swimming & Diving student-athletes earn first team honors, seven placed on second team
HOUSTON – Ten members of the University of Houston Swimming & Diving program were named to the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America teams.Â

Junior Henrietta Fangli, fifth-year Chase Farris and freshman Michelle McLeod each received First Team accolades while freshman Evelyn Entrekin, junior Josie Graves, senior Hedda Grelz, fifth-year Audrey McKinnon, junior Adelaide Meuter, freshman Sydney Nethercutt and senior Emilia Waters received Second Team honors.

To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.
Â
The team as a whole also received a CSCAA Scholar All-America team status for the Spring 2024 semester. To qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 during the Spring 2024 semester.

Houston has now been recognized with CSCAA Scholar All-America honors for 17 consecutive semesters.Â

Over 2,000 student-athletes were recognized as Scholar All-Americans while 722 teams from 417 institutions, representing over 17,000 student-athletes were honored as Scholar All-America teams.Â
