Morozova joins GCU doubles partner, Sepa, in Houston
HOUSTON – University of Houston Tennis Head Coach Katarina Adamovic announced the signing of transfer Elizaveta Morozova from Grand Canyon University, on Friday.
"I am very happy to welcome Liza to our team," said Adamovic. "Her energy and competitive spirit are exactly what we need here in Houston. We can't wait to start working with her and see the excitement she'll bring to our matches."
Morozova was named to the 2024 All-WAC singles team after finishing the season 14-3, including an undefeated record in conference play.
With partner and fellow GCU transfer, Iva Sepa, the Kazan, Russia, native, went 15-1 in doubles and helped secure the doubles point in the WAC Championship in 2024.
"I chose Houston because it is a great place to accomplish my academic and athletic goals," said Morozova. "I also appreciate the opportunity to play in this larger conference with a higher level of competition. It is also important for me to continue working with Katarina. I will try my best and contribute as much as I can."
