Arbolida Walks Off Colonels

Houston rallies down three runs, Arbolida singles gives Cougars fourth walk-off win
Arbolida's game winning single marked the Cougars (24-24) fourth walk-off of the season and second in the last seven days after Houston won on a walk-off against McNeese on Wednesday. Both wins came after the Cougars rallied down multiple runs.
Nicholls (30-11) struck early, pouncing for a pair of runs in the first inning on a sacrifice fly and a single. The Colonels scored another run in the third inning on a solo home run.
Houston's (24-24) first hit of the game came in the fifth inning on a lead-off home run off the bat of freshman catcher Conner Bennett – his second of the season.
Reese's three-run home run in the sixth inning gave Houston the lead and marked the second-straight midweek game Houston trailed by multiple runs and rallying after coming back down five against McNeese on Wednesday.
The Colonels tied the game in the ninth on a lead-off solo home run.
Houston loaded the bases with two outs after a two-out double off the bat of third baseman Anthony Tulimero and then back-to-back walks to Coll and pinch hitter Jonathan French.
Senior lefty Kyle LaCalemeto (3-3) earned the win after pitching the top of the ninth inning.

Houston treks to Lawrence, Kan., to face Kansas in its final road Big 12 Conference series of the season Friday-Sunday. Sunday's finale has been moved to a Noon start, up from 1 p.m. All three games will be streamed on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
