Houston adds Bostock from Maryland
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Women's Basketball and Head Coach Ronald Hughey continue to add talent to its 2024-25 roster with the signing of guard Summer Bostock, announced Monday.

"We are extremely blessed to have Summer join our Cougar family," Hughey said. "She is a very versatile and skilled guard who can shoot from deep and perform at multiple positions. Her ability to score in different ways will be greatly appreciated. Summer was a member of Maryland's Elite Eight run, so we welcome her NCAA Tournament experience. Summer also competed at the FIBA Championship, so she understands how to perform on the big stage. She will add to our culture, and we are super excited about her."
Bostock, a 6'1 guard from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, spent her freshman year at Maryland. Bostock joined the Terrapins in January 2023, when she began practicing and working out with the team that reached the 2023 Elite Eight.
During her first season as a freshman, Bostock saw action in 10 games and recorded a career-high six points in the win against James Madison (Dec. 20, 2023). The guard also excelled in the classroom, picking up Academic All-Big Ten honors.
During her junior year of high school, Bostock averaged 27.3 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and three assists. Bostock also played AAU with Become One.
Bostock has international experience as she played for Team Canada at the 2021 FIBA U16 Women's Americas Championship, where the team reached the Championship final. The Canadian averaged 7.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.
