Diving Finishes Day One at NCAA Zone D Championships

HOUSTON – The University of Houston Swimming & Diving team wrapped up its first of three days of competition at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships at CRWC Natatorium on Monday afternoon.

Fifth-year Chase Farris led Houston in the 1-meter as the lone Cougar to advance to the finals. She went on to finish in 18^th in the event (489.35).

Emilia Waters took 32^nd (250.90) in the prelims, with Michelle McLeod using a score of 248.05 to earn a 34^th-place finish. Hedda Grelz finished 36^th (235.60) while Josie Graves took 37^th (233.10).

UP NEXT
Zone D Championships continue on Tuesday with the 3-meter competition. Prelims begin at 11:45 a.m. with finals at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday's competition begins at 11:45 a.m. with platform prelims followed by the finals at 1:45 p.m.
