Houston adds size, experience in transfer portal led by five offensive linemen
HOUSTON – As the calendar turns to 2025, University of Houston Football has announced the addition of 15 transfer student-athletes with further opportunities to add over the coming months.
Student-athletes who participate in the postseason (bowl or playoffs) have an additional five-day window to enter the portal once their season comes to an end.
Houston's transfer group includes nine on offense, five on defense and one special teams' addition. A position-leading five offensive linemen signed financial aid agreements. Among the 15 transfers, seven played high school football in Texas and another three hail from Louisiana.
Offensively, Houston welcomes five offensive linemen, two wide receivers, one tight end and one quarterback. The Cougars added two defensive backs, two linebackers and one defensive lineman as well as one kicker.
