Agnello Announced as Allstate AFCA Good Works Team Nominee

Lineman one of 175 nominees for annual award highlighting leadership in service, academics and athletics
HOUSTON – Senior McKenzie Agnello is Houston Football's nominee for the annual Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, the organization announced Monday.
The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team recognizes college football student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional commitment to community service, academics and athletics. Established in 1992 and presented by Allstate since 2008, the program honors players who use their platforms to strengthen communities and support causes important to them.
Agnello, a senior offensive lineman, enters his second year in Houston in 2026. He was an AP All-Bowl Team honoree last season after a stellar showing in the Texas Bowl. The Bowl win capped a season where he played 773 snaps, which ranked fourth on the team. He did not allow a sack in 368 pass block snaps and ceded the fewest QB hurries on the team. He was also one of the most disciplined Cougars on the field, causing just three penalties, fewest on the offensive line.
The Copperas Cove, Texas native volunteers at multiple local and national organizations, including the Dyslexia School of Houston and the National Marrow Donor Program. At DSH, he helps students become confident readers while also supporting educators in their instruction. He's a part of NMDP's Get in the Game/Be the Match program that aims to match blood cell and stem cell therapies with patients needing alternative forms of treatment for cancer and other diseases.
Agnello is an Integrated Studies major who has collected academic honors at both of his last two schools. A 2025 Academic All-Big 12 selection, he also earned 2024 Academic All-Mountain West honors.
Agnello is one of 175 nominees for the award that spans across every collegiate division and is one of 15 from the Big 12 Conference.
The 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team will be announced in September and include 22 student-athletes and one honorary head coach. One student-athlete will also be selected as team captain and receive the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy.
3-GAME FLEX PLANS
New this season, Houston's Flex Plans allow supporters to purchase tickets to any three home games with additional flexibility as the package purchaser can select a different part of the stadium for each game if they choose. Fans can sit in the same general area each game, or move around the stadium for different views, interactions and fun.
Tickets vary in price depending on which portion of the stadium you sit in – however there is a discount per ticket ranging from $30-$5 – thus, every Flex Plan is unique to each fan with purchasers picking between Mid-Level Chairbacks, North Chairbacks, North Prime Chairbacks, and Sideline Bleacher back seats. Fans must purchase the same number of tickets for each game.

University of Houston Football season tickets are on sale for the 2026 season. For as low as $150, fans can get in on the excitement of Year 3 of the Head Coach Willie Fritz era with pivotal matchups against Oregon State, Southern, UCF, Oklahoma State, Cincinnati and Baylor as the Cougars look to improve on their 10-win season in 2025.
