PREVIEW: Battle of the Cats as Volleyball Hosts Cincinnati

HOUSTON – The University of Houston Volleyball team hosts the Cincinnati Bearcats to begin the final month of the regular season on Friday inside Fertitta Center. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Friday is Houston's Day of the Dead and Hispanic Alumni match. There will be Day of the Dead themed activities in the Club level while concessions will offer a special on margaritas.

Graduate libero Kate Georgiades ranks second in the Big 12 Conference, first in the state of Texas and 27^th nationally with 4.82 digs per set. She's also tallied 23 consecutive matches with double-digit digs.
Graduate setter Annie Cooke is moving up multiple program career record lists. She currently sits in third in service aces (132) and in assists (3,642) in the all-time rankings. She's also played in the eighth most matches (131) and fifth most sets (484) in program history.
Georgiades is also making moves on Houston record lists. She currently ranks third all-time in digs (2,160) and eighth in aces (106).
Among active NCAA Division I players, Georgiades' collegiate career mark of 2,350 digs is the third most, ranking first among Texas schools and in the Big 12 and sits at seventh across all NCAA divisions. Her 4.68 digs per set average is ninth among active NCAA Division I players, leading the Big 12 while ranking second in Texas.
Houston faces one of the toughest schedules in the country with nine of its opponents currently ranked in the AVCA Top 25.
