COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The University of Houston Swimming & Diving team returns to action on the road as it heads to College Station, Texas, to clash with #20 Texas A&M at the Rec Center Natatorium on Thursday.

LAST TIME OUT
Houston started its 2024-25 campaign with a bang, claiming 10 first place finishes and 16 podiums at the Rice Fall Splash and Houston Diving Invitational. The Diving team claimed nine podium placements out of a maximum possible 12 while the Swimming team at Rice dominated the competition, winning the meet with 383.5 points, in front of Rice (286) and Little Rock (144.5).Â

BIG 12 HONORS
Lottie Cullen claimed both her first career Big 12 Conference honors and the team's first weekly honors of the season by being named the league's Newcomer of the Week on Oct. 16. Cullen earned the top spot in three events while finishing second in another two.Â

Touching the wall in 54.50 in the 100-yard backstroke, she posted the seventh fastest time in Houston's history in the event to take first place while also helping the 400-yard medley relay and 200-yard medley relay finish first.Â

Adding to her impressive weekend, Cullen also finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:35.71) and the 200-yard backstroke (1:59.92).

NCAA CUTS
Three divers have claimed seven NCAA Zones Cuts across the three diving events. Fifth-year Hedda Grelz and sophomore Michelle McLeod clinched Zone Cuts in all three diving events while fifth-year Emilia Waters secured an NCAA Zone Cut in the platform competition.Â

UP NEXT
Houston returns to the CRWC Natatorium on Nov. 2 for a tri-meet against #13 LSU and Tulane. The meet is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
