Regular season begins Sept. 10-12 at Argent Financial Classic in Louisiana
HOUSTON – As it prepares for its first season in the Big 12 Conference, the University of Houston Men's Golf program unveiled its 2023-24 schedule, Director of Golf Jonathan Dismuke announced Thursday.
The Cougars will host three tournaments in the fall with six regular-season events in the spring across two nations and six states. Additional tournaments may be added to the team schedule in the near future.
A year ago, under Dismuke's leadership, Houston won the American Athletic Conference Championships title with All-American Santiago De La Fuente earning medalist honors at 10-under 200 and teammate Austyn Reily finishing second.
The Cougars advanced to the NCAA Auburn Regional and competed in the NCAA postseason for the third straight season and the ninth time during Dismuke's tenure.
Eight lettermen and two redshirts return from that squad and will be joined by four award-winning newcomers in 2023-24.
FALL SEASON
The Cougars open the season when they tee off at the Argent Financial Classic at Squire Creek Country Club in Choudrant, La., on Sept. 10-12.
After playing at the Wake Forest Intercollegiate at Chicago Highlands Club in Westchester, Ill., on Sept. 18-19, the Cougars close the fall when they compete at the Big 12 Match Play Tournament at The Clubs at Houston Oaks in Hockley, Texas, on Oct. 9-11.
SPRING SEASON
Following the holiday break, Houston starts the spring campaign at the Southwestern Invitational at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, Calif., on Jan. 29-31.

After teeing off at the Cabo Collegiate at Twin Dolphin Club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on March 3-5, Houston returns home to play host to the All-American Intercollegiate on March 18-19 at Golf Club of Houston.
Houston then welcomes one of the nation's elite fields when it hosts the Valspar Collegiate Invitational at Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City, Fla., on March 25-26.
The Cougars wrap up their regular season at the Thunderbird Intercollegiate at Papago Golf Club in Tempe, Ariz., on April 12-13.
THE POSTSEASON
The Cougars will compete in their first Big 12 Championships at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, Texas on April 22-24. The winner of the league's annual postseason event receives an automatic bid to the NCAA postseason.
