Cougars finish with 3-1 record Down Under after 88-50 win over AUSA Select team in Keilor Park
KEILOR PARK, Australia – University of Houston guards Mylik Wilson and Terrance Arceneaux each flirted with a triple double to lead the Cougars to an 88-50 win over Australia Select Team inside Keilor Basketball Stadium on Sunday evening.
Arceneaux led all players with 15 points and nine rebounds and added six steals with three assists while Wilson posted 14 points with six assists and a game-high seven steals.
With Head Coach Kelvin Sampson resting many of his returning veteran players, many of the younger Cougars saw significant minutes in Sunday's win.
The Cougars jumped out to a 24-10 lead after the first quarter and never looked back in collecting their second straight win in as many days during their 12-day tour of Australia.
Taking a 46-21 lead at halftime, the Cougars outscored Australia Select 30-6 in the third period, shooting a blazing 63.2 percent (12-of-19) from the field and while not allowing a single field goal to their Australian hosts in the frame.
Houston limited AUSA Select to only 31.9 percent (15-of-47) from the field and forced 31 turnovers, leading to 30 points.
Sophomore guard Emanuel Sharp posted 13 points with seven rebounds, two assists and two steals while junior guard Ramon Walker Jr. finished with 11 points and four rebounds. Senior guard Damian Dunn totaled 14 points with five rebounds.

With the win, the Cougars concluded their tour of Australia with a 3-1 mark. Houston claimed a 93-52 win over the East All-Stars in Sydney on Aug. 7 before dropping a 99-65 decision to the Australian National Team in Cairns on Aug. 9 and taking a 109-64 win over the Frankston Blues on Aug. 12.
