Cougars to make seventh team appearance in NCAA Regional beginning Monday at Palouse Ridge Golf Club
PULLMAN, Wash. – The University of Houston Women's Golf program begins the NCAA postseason when it tees off at the NCAA Pullman Regional at Palouse Ridge Golf Club on Monday morning.
The Cougars are making their seventh team in NCAA Regional play and will compete as the No. 7 seed at the NCAA Pullman Regional.
While this is the third straight season in which Houston has been represented in NCAA Regional play, this will be the first time Houston has competed at a Regional since 2019.
Super senior Annie Kim played as an individual qualifier at the 2022 NCAA Franklin Regional. As a team, the Cougars qualified for the 2021 NCAA Baton Rouge Regional but rain forced the cancellation of that entire event without a single hole being played, and the COVID pandemic canceled all postseason play in 2020.
Houston is one of 72 teams and 36 individuals not on those teams competing in NCAA Regional play at six sites across the nation.
Other NCAA Regionals will be held at University of Georgia Golf Course (Athens, Ga.); PGA National Resort (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.); Lonnie Poole Golf Course (Raleigh, N.C.); TPC San Antonio (San Antonio, Texas) and The Club at Chatham Hills (Westfield, Ind.).
