
Cougars Head to Big Easy for Three Matches

Houston opens action Friday against Tulane on ESPN+
NEW ORLEANS, La. – The University of Houston Tennis program will head to New Orleans for a three-match road-trip where it is set to face Tulane, Memphis and Southeastern Louisiana beginning Friday.

The first match will take place against Tulane at 2 p.m. on Friday, followed by a match against Memphis at noon on Saturday, both from the City Park Tennis Center. The Cougars will then close out the weekend against Southeastern Louisiana at 9 a.m. on Sunday at the campus of Dillard University.

The Cougars (8-3), winners of seven straight, are coming off a 6-1 victory at home against ULM and are looking to extend their win streak this weekend.
For the first time in program history, Houston's match against Tulane will be streamed on ESPN+ with Andrew Beyer and Corey Gloor calling the action.

SCOUTING THE GREEN WAVE
·      Tulane is in its sixth season under Head Coach Maria Brito.
·      The Green Wave are 3-5 on the season.
·      Houston and Tulane have split the all-time series, 7-7.
·      The last time Houston and Tulane met, the Cougars secured a 4-2 victory against the Green Wave (March 19, 2021).

·      The Cougars lead the all-time series, 3-2.
·      The last time Houston and Memphis met, the Cougars fell in a 4-3 decision to the Tigers (March 12, 2021).
