Houston (5-8) pitching struck out 10 batters compared to the Sooners' six and junior Zach Arnold swatted his second home run in the last five contests but it was not enough as sophomore Cade Citelli (0-2) dropped his second game of the season. Oklahoma redshirt junior Kale Davis (2-0) earned his second win of the season as the Sooners (9-5) won their seventh game in the last eight opportunities.

1st | Despite two strikeouts from Houston starting pitcher Cade Citelli in the top of the first, Oklahoma drew a bases-loaded walk to get on the board first. A lead-off walk from junior first baseman Justin Murray followed by a fielding error from Oklahoma moved Murray all the way to the third base bag but Murray was eventually tagged out at home on a double play to end the inning.
3rd | Junior third baseman Zach Arnold got the Cougars on the board with a rocket out of the park to even the score at 1-1.
Oklahoma proceeded to plate two more runs in the top of the fourth followed by six in the fifth, three in the eighth as well as adding an insurance run in the top of the ninth for a 13-1 win.
