Houston hosts Memphis with five games remaining on the schedule
HOUSTON – The University of Houston hosts Memphis on Wednesday in Fertitta Center at 7 p.m. in the first meeting between the two teams this season after the matchup at Memphis on Feb. 1 was postponed due to severe weather.

THE GAME
- Houston is on a four-game winning streak in conference play for the first time since 2021 when the Cougars won seven-straight in the American.
- The Cougars have one five of the last six meetings.
- Laila Blair has scored 20-plus points in back-to-back games, if she scores 20 against Memphis she will be the first Cougar since Jasmyne Harris in 2017-18 to score 20-plus in three-straight American games.
LAST TIME OUT
- Houston's won its fourth-straight conference game when it upset #24 South Florida on Sunday.
- Laila Blair scored a career-high 30 points with 22 coming in the first half.
- The Cougars got their first win against a ranked team since 2021, against #13 South Florida, and its first ranked win on the road since 2004 at #14 Purdue.
- Four Cougars scored 10+ points despite six players finishing the game with three-plus fouls.
- Houston was named the Team of the Week by ESPN after its road win at South Florida.

- Blair was a unanimous Preseason All-Conference First Team selection by The American coaches.
- The Cougars were picked to finish second in the league and received two first place votes in the Coaches Poll.
