Cougars look to lock in spot at Sprouts Farmers Market Big 12 Conference Championship
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Soccer program closes out the 2023 regular season against Baylor at 7 p.m., Monday, for Halloween at the Pitch at the Carl Lewis International Complex.
Fans in attendance in a costume will receive free admission against the Bears. The game will be streamed on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ with Matt Pedersen, Alex Parra and Alexx Holmes calling the action. Live stats will be available here.
THE BIG PICTURE
Houston looks to bounce back with a win against Baylor to claim the final spot in the 2023 Sprouts Farmers Market Big 12 Conference Championship.
The Cougars currently sit three points behind Cincinnati and would be tied for the 10th and final spot with a win over Baylor and a Cincinnati loss to West Virginia and an Iowa State loss to Texas Tech. With that combination, Houston would hold the tiebreaker over Cincinnati with most points against common conference opponents.
ABOUT THE COUGARS
The Top-10 teams in the Big 12 Conference standings will advance to the 2023 Sprouts Farmers Market Big 12 Soccer Championship at the Round Rock Multipurpose Center in Round Rock, Texas.
The First Round will be held Saturday, Oct. 28, with Quarterfinals taking place Monday, Oct. 30. Semifinals will occur Thursday, Nov. 1, with the Final Match scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 4.
TICKETS
Current University of Houston students may claim one ticket at no cost. Students can claim their tickets by presenting their valid UH student IDs at the gate.
Mobile tickets can also be purchased for $10 at game time at the ticket booth located at Schroeder Park (baseball), adjacent to the Carl Lewis International Complex.
