Soccer Drops Home Contest to rv Texas

Cougars set to close regular season at home against Baylor on Monday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.
Despite the loss, Houston (8-7-2, 2-6-1 Big 12) drew the fifth largest attendance in program history, with 915 fans in the stands.
Texas (11-4-2, 5-3-1 Big 12) jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the fifth minute. The Longhorns would convert on three more opportunities, taking a 4-0 lead into the break.
Texas added two more in the second half to increase its lead to 5-0.
Houston prevented the shutout as senior forward Nadia Kamassah scored the lone goal of the match in the 87th minute, assisted by junior midfielder Alexis Fowlkes. This marks the 14th career goal for the forward and first career Big 12 goal.

The Cougars will close out the 2023 regular season against Baylor at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 23, for Halloween at the Pitch at the Carl Lewis International Season
The top-10 teams will advance to the 2023 Sprouts Farmers Market Big 12 Soccer Championship at the Round Rock Multipurpose Center in Round Rock, Texas.
The first round will be held Saturday, Oct. 28, with quarterfinals taking place Monday, Oct. 30. Semifinals will occur Thursday, Nov. 1, with the final match scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 4.
TICKETS
Current University of Houston students may claim one ticket at no cost to all home soccer matches. Students can claim their tickets by presenting their valid UH student IDs at the gate.
Single-game tickets are available to purchase for $10 per match. Mobile tickets can also be purchased at game time at the ticket booth located at Schroeder Park (baseball), adjacent to the Carl Lewis International Complex.
