Cougars, Longhorns meet in Big 12 tilt one week from Saturday inside TDECU Stadium
HOUSTON – University of Houston Football's Big 12 Conference matchup against Texas, set for Saturday, Oct. 21, has officially sold out. The contest is set for a 3 p.m. kickoff from TDECU Stadium and will be broadcast on FOX and KPRC AM 950.
The Cougars and Longhorns are facing off for the first time since Sept. 21, 2002. The two teams are meeting for the first time as league foes since Nov. 11, 1995, as co-Southwest Conference members. Houston is looking for its first win against Texas since Nov. 9, 1991, when it defeated Texas for a third-straight time at the Astrodome.
Houston's combined attendance through three games (108,955) ranks second in TDECU Stadium history. The Cougars set a facility record with 26,500+ season tickets including 7,800 new season tickets in 2023.
Cougar Paw three-pack tickets are available for $66 to see the Cougars face West Virginia, Cincinnati and Oklahoma State. Single-game tickets are available for Thursday's matchup against West Virginia for as low as $10 with a portion of the purchase benefitting Cougar Cupboard which helps provide students at the University of Houston nutritious food to fuel a healthy lifestyle.
