Cougar Quintet Take Part in Senior Showcases

Tune, Dell set for Senior Bowl; Green, Owens, Parish head to Shrine Bowl
HOUSTON – Five University of Houston Football standouts will take part in postseason showcases this week with quarterback Clayton Tune and wide receiver Nathaniel "Tank" Dell participating in the Reese's Senior Bowl and defensive back Art Green, defensive back Gervarrius Owens and defensive end Derek Parish headed to the East-West Shrine Bowl.
The Shrine Bowl will be played at 7:30 p.m. CT Thursday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The Senior Bowl is 1:30 p.m. Saturday from Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Ala. Both contests can be seen on the NFL Network.
Green, Owens and Parish will play for the East under the direction of Atlanta Falcons Special Teams Coordinator Marquice Williams. The trio moves Houston's total to 31 all-time participants in the event and matches the most in a single year (2009).
Dell and Tune will suit up for the American team with Chicago Bears Offensive Coordinator Luke Getsy at the helm. The duo ups Houston's all-time participants in the event to 41.
