Houston standouts wrap regular season, begin playoff prep
HOUSTON – New England rookie standout Marcus Jones played all three phases in the Patriots' season finale while veteran Elandon Roberts' career year continued with a strong regular season finale as Miami prepares to face Buffalo in the playoffs.

Matthew Adams | Chicago Bears | L, 29-13 vs. Vikings
- Adams registered two tackles while playing 23 defensive snaps and 20 snaps on special teams. Adams logged at least one tackle in all 10 games played while making three starts during the 2022 season. He capped his campaign with 26 tackles including seven solo stops.
Kyle Allen | Houston Texans | W, 32-31 at Colts
- Allen was inactive for Houston's season-ending victory at Indianapolis.
- Anenih was inactive for the Falcons' season finale. Anenih did not register any stats after being signed by Atlanta on Dec. 20.
Tyus Bowser | Baltimore Ravens | L, 27-16 at Bengals
- Bowser played 35 defensive snaps but did not register a stat. The sixth-year player saw action in nine games including four starts, adding 13 tackles, three tackles for loss and four quarterback hits. The No. 6 seed Ravens will look for revenge against the Bengals as part of Super Wild Card Weekend when the two meet at 7:15 p.m. CT on Saturday, Jan. 15.
Emeke Egbule | Pittsburgh Steelers | Practice Squad
- Egbule signed a Reserve/Future contract with Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Egbule was signed to the practice squad in December. Prior to joining the Steelers, he spent the last three seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, after being drafted in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Logan Hall | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | L, 30-17 at Falcons
- Hall posted two tackles including a tackle for loss and quarterback hit while playing 47 defensive snaps and nine on special teams. The defensive lineman finished the regular season with 12 tackles including seven solo stops. Tampa Bay will host Dallas on Wild Card Weekend when the two meet at 7:15 p.m. CT Monday on ABC/ESPN.
William Jackson III | Pittsburgh Steelers | W, 28-14 vs. Browns
- Jackson III ended his season on the Reserve/Injured List. He played in four games during 2022, all coming with Washington, where he produced 16 tackles before arriving in Pittsburgh via trade.
Josh Jones | Arizona Cardinals | L, 38-13 at 49ers
- Jones started at left tackle, playing 36 offensive snaps and a pair of snaps on special teams. On the season, the 2020 NFL Draft selection started nine games for Arizona, playing 622 offensive snaps while grading out as the league's No. 17 overall tackle (75.8) per PFF.
Marcus Jones | New England Patriots | L, 35-23 at Bills
- Jones returned three punts for 25 yards and four kickoffs for 82 yards including a long of 36 in New England's season finale. Defensively, the rookie finished tied for second on the squad with six tackles including five solo stops. Jones lined up in all three phases, playing two snaps offensively, 51 snaps defensively and nine snaps on special teams. On the year, Jones logged 39 tackles, added seven passes defended and produced two interceptions -- including a 69-yard pick six. He added four receptions and one touchdown on offense. On special teams, he totaled 29 punt returns for 362 yards and a score alongside 27 kick returns for 645 yards.
Case Keenum | Buffalo Bills | W, 35-23 vs. Patriots
- Keenum did not play in Buffalo's regular season finale against New England. The 10th-year signal caller appeared in a pair of games during the regular season. The Bills, who finished the regular season at 13-3, begin their playoff push as the No. 2 seed against No. 7 seed Miami at noon CT on Monday, Dec. 15.
Ed Oliver | Buffalo Bills | W, 35-23 vs. Patriots
- Oliver started at left defensive tackle, recording one tackle while playing 47 defensive snaps. On the season, Oliver started and played in 13 games for the Bills, collecting 34 tackles including 20 solo stops alongside nine tackles for loss. The Bills, who finished the regular season at 13-3, begin their playoff push as the No. 2 seed against No. 7 seed Miami at noon CT on Monday, Dec. 15.
Elandon Roberts | Miami Dolphins | W, 11-6 vs. Jets
- Roberts started at linebacker, contributing four tackles including a tackle for loss while playing 34 defensive snaps and seven on special teams. Roberts produced a career year during the regular season in 2022, logging 107 tackles including 68 solo stops. The No. 7 seed Dolphins will visit No. 2 seed Buffalo at noon CT on Monday, Dec. 15 as part of Super Wild Card Weekend.
Kody Russey | New England Patriots | L, 35-23 at Bills
- Russey did not play in New England's season finale at Buffalo.
- Stevenson was signed by Cleveland on Dec. 14 and finished his season on the practice squad.
Grant Stuard | Indianapolis Colts | L, 32-31 vs. Texans
- Stuard added one tackle while playing 17 special teams snaps. The 2021 NFL Draft selection logged 11 tackles including nine solo stops across 15 games during his first season with the Colts.
Nick Thurman | Jacksonville Jaguars | Practice Squad
Payton Turner | New Orleans Saints | L, 10-7 vs. Panthers
- Turner was inactive for the Saints season finale against Carolina. During his second season in the league, the 2021 NFL Draft selection combined for 16 tackles across eight games.
Greg Ward Jr. | Philadelphia Eagles | Practice Squad
Damarion Williams | Baltimore Ravens | L, 27-16 at Bengals
- Williams logged a pair of tackles, playing six defensive snaps and 10 snaps on special teams. The rookie played in 14 games, registering 24 tackles including 15 solo stops. The No. 6 seed Ravens will look for revenge against the Bengals as part of Super Wild Card Weekend when the two meet at 7:15 p.m. CT on Saturday, Jan. 15.
Brandon Wilson | Cincinnati Bengals | Injured Reserve
- Wilson remains on the injured reserve with a knee injury.
