Tennis Set to Compete in ITA Texas Regionals

Cougars will begin play on Thursday in Fort Worth
FORT WORTH, Texas – Eight members of the University of Houston Tennis Program will take on the ITA Division I Women's Texas Regional Championship, beginning Thursday at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center on the campus of TCU.
The event opens Thursday and runs through Monday, beginning with singles action and followed immediately by doubles. The winner of ITA Texas Regional goes on to compete in the ITA Fall National Tournament.
"It's one of the most important tournaments in the fall with all the Texas universities participating," Head Coach Helena Besovic said. "We've been practicing for a few weeks now and we are ready for it. We hope to put up a good fight and have some good singles and doubles matches this weekend."
