Cougars Prepare for Opening Night

Houston returns for two-match homestand against Baylor, Rice
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Soccer program will kick off its first home match of the 2022 regular season at 7 p.m., Thursday against future Big 12 Conference opponent Baylor at the Carl Lewis International Complex.

The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Matt Pedersen and Andrew Driver calling the action. Live stats will also be available here.

Fans in attendance will receive mister fans and cooling towels while supplies last.

Fans can purchase single-game tickets by clicking here or by visiting the ticket office. Mobile tickets can also be purchased at game time at the ticket booth located at Schroeder Park (baseball), adjacent to the Carl Lewis International Complex.
Students will now be able to claim two tickets at no cost to all home soccer matches. Students can claim their tickets by presenting their student IDs at the gate.

ABOUT THE COUGARS
·      Houston is in its first season under Head Coach Jaime Frias.
·      The Cougars are 1-1-1 on the season.
·      In its last match, Houston defeated Sam Houston, 2-1 on Sunday with goals from seniors Madison Dichiara and Janna Singleton, with both goals assisted by midfielder Caitlyn Matthews.
·      In the last meeting against the Bears, the Cougars fell in a 1-0 decision (Sept. 5, 2010) in Waco, Texas.
